Current news from Super Sire, LTD - Spring 2020
For everyone that has been following our progress with the Valais Blacknose, and the journey to establish these sheep in the United States, you know how conscientiously we’ve worked to establish this amazing breed over the course of the past few years. We would like to announce that our work to promote the breed has evolved into an exciting new chapter. Thanks to our partnership with the New Zealand company Remarkable Valais, we will be importing purebred embryos for the 2020 breeding season.
This new development is the culmination of years of dedicated work, and we are so excited to have an opportunity to use our expertise to distribute these genetics in an entirely new form.
The fierce interest in this breed means that many different people have a vested interest in the direction of the breed’s development in the states. Obviously, a number of different opinions are to be expected when this many people revolve around the same topic. It was recently brought to our attention that some of these opinions have resulted in some
unfortunate misinformation, which Remarkable Valais wishes to redress. They have forwarded this lovely write up explaining who they are, their professional origins and a little about their flock, and have asked that we share this with our clients and interested producers in the United States.
